Drive one and you will have a broad smile sent across your face!

With its sporty looks, perky engine and fantastic engine note, the Italian-built Abarth ticks many boxes for car enthusiasts.

What is an ‘Abarth’ you may ask?

An Abarth 595 is essentially a sportier version of the iconic Fiat 500 city car, which comes with a more powerful engine, upgraded suspension and many eye-catching styling tweaks.

Each variant is powered by the 1.4-litre turbocharged T-Jet petrol engine. Ahead of its competition, the entry level model even accelerates quicker than the VW up! GTI and is comparable with the likes of the Suzuki Swift Sport.

The top of the range 180hp Competizione even gives the more powerful Ford Fiesta ST a serious run for its money.

As at home on tight twisty roads as it is driving through the city, this seriously speedy hot hatch makes the perfect daily and weekend car! Stick it in ‘Sport Mode’, open up the Turbo and feel an instant torque increase.

Around town, the 595’s small size and upright seating position make it surprisingly easy to drive.

Now onto the interior…

It’s a nice place to be, and it’s certainly different to its competitors. The Abarth benefits from features such as sports seats, a turbo boost gauge and yes, a G-meter, which records the sideways force generated as you go round bends. All of the above add to the driving experience.
