The 87th annual Geneva Motor Show kicked off last week at the Palexpo Arena, and Aston Martin was there to showcase their exciting new brand AMR.
The new brand is born from Aston Martins racing pedigree, with inspiration being taken from motorsport to show off the sporting prowess of the new model range. The new brand will see two Aston Martin models, the Rapide and Vantage, with enhanced performance, sharper dynamics and a unique new design.
On Tuesday 7th March the first two new concepts were revealed in Geneva, the Rapide AMR and the Vantage AMR Pro. The Rapide is an enriched model of the four-door sports car, with added power, chassis and new exterior and interior styling. The Vantage Pro, which has been influenced by Aston Martins WEC winning, features the most powerful V8 Vantage engine ever. It also has all-new motorsport styling with Stirling green paint and line green lines as well as a new front end with a deep front grille.
Although the two new AMR models are currently prototypes, Aston Martin’s President and CEO, Dr Andy Palmer has confirmed that both models are set to go into production in the next few years. They are also hoping to eventually create an AMR version of every model in their range.

The acclaimed new Vanquis S also made its debut at Geneva, showcasing the most powerful Super GT yet. Keeping with their exciting collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the AM-RB 001 hypercar was also given its European debut. The exciting new creation from two engineering giants has given us a road car unlike anything ever seen before.
The AM-RB 001 is built on a lightweight carbon fibre structure to give it unprecedented aerodynamics. The hypercar, which was built at the company’s plant in Gaydon by David King has a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a 1:1 power ratio.
